Welcome to the Dingle Peninsula

Once cited as 'the most beautiful place on earth' by the National Geographic; was voted among the top 100 destinations in the world by Trip Advisor; CNN recently recommended it as a very favourable winter destination; it is listed as one of the top 10 places to be on New Year's Eve - all of these accolades refer to County Kerry's stunningly beautiful Dingle Peninsula.

Tá clú agus cáil bainte amach ag Leithinis Chorca Dhuibhne mar cheann scríbe de bharr a cuid litríochta, teangan agus cultúir. Ó thaobh áilleachta, saibhreas oidhreachta agus imeachtaí ní féidir Corca Dhuibhne a shárú agus tá a hainm i n-airde le lóistín, bia, ceardaíocht, ceol is tithe tábhairne.

  • A story too good not to share... about Maharees Carrots! ☘☘🥕🥕 Cornelius Traas, of The Apple Farm in Tipperary, posted this photo and story on Twitter, about receiving a present of this fine bunch of carrots and parsnips from a Kerry man on his way to the National Ploughing Championships. A lively conversation ensued about how Maharees Carrots were once the most famous in Ireland, and the importance of using locally grown Irish food. 🥕🥕 Thank you Cornelius, for highlighting the value of locally grown, and of supporting local farmers. The Maharees is a special place on the north shore of the Dingle Peninsula. It's sandy shores and soil are perfect for growing the tastiest carrots and parsnips. With a pinch of salt and pepper, and a knob of butter, sure that's what the best Irish dinners are made of 😊😊☘☘ Don't forget the Dingle Food Festival is coming up very soon! Come by, and support Irish farmers and food producers in a tastextravaganza of a weekend. 😀😀 #dinglepeninsula #corcadhuibhne #maharees #locallygrown #vegetables #thisisirishfood #irishfood #mahareescarrots
