Passenger ferries operate from the mainland to the Great Blasket Island during the Spring, Summer and Autumn, weather permitting. Ferries may be boarded at the Marina in Dingle Town (a 40 minute trip) or at Dún Chaoin Pier opposite the island (20 minutes).

Blasket Islands Ferry Leaving from the traditional departure point of Dún Chaoin (Dunquin), 15km west of Dingle (An Daingean), the Great Blasket Island is a short 20 min boat trip from the mainland.

Dunquin every day from Easter to October (weather depending) every hour on the hour for the Great Blasket
Island where you can spend a few hours or the day walking, hiking, swimming,
visiting the old village, painting, taking phptos or just relaxing and enjoying
the wonderful landscapes and stunning seascapes.
