The Dingle Peninsula has become a popular destination for surfers. The energy of the Atlantic Ocean is released in the large swells that break on the West Kerry coast, leading to good suerfing conditions at most times of the year.

Wetsuits, surfboards, boogie boards and kite boards can be hired, and a number of surf schools operate in the summer months.

The two best locations for surfing are Brandon Bay and Inch.
